General FAQs

Although our business was founded in Canada, we have customers from all over the world. USD is a much more globally established currency.

The best course of action is to contact our customer support. There are a few different ways to do this:

We offer a 30 day refund policy for products that have either not been used or arrived damaged in the mail.

Customers are responsible for paying for tracked postage and sending us the tracking number to our email: [email protected]

Good news! We are constantly running new monthly sales with crazy discounts, many of which are automatically applied at checkout once you meet the criteria.

The best place to look for discounts is on our homepage. Check the banner at the top of the homepage for our most recent sale offer.

In addition, you can look for the purple announcement bar at the very top of every page on our website to see if there is a sale running.

Yes, we do! Everyone is eligible to sign up. Head on over to our Affiliate Portal page where you’ll be instructed to register.

Our team will then review your application, and after approval, you’ll gain access to all of the features on the Affiliate Portal.

If you ever need to access the portal at a later date, there is a purple “Affiliate Portal” button at the top right hand corner of our website if you’re on a computer.

If you’re a mobile phone, the same purple “Affiliate Portal” button is found by opening the mobile menu by tapping the purple menu button at the very top left hand corner of your screen. Scroll down to the bottom of the mobile menu and you’ll see the Affiliate Portal button.

Shipping FAQs

Average total delivery times:

  • Canada/USA: 3 to 11 business days
  • International: 8 to 24 business days

There are two factors that effect timelines: lead time and shipping time.

Lead time is the time that it takes for our team to craft, pack up, and drop off your order to the shipping carrier. Lead times are typically 1 to 4 business days.

Shipping time is the time that it takes for your order to from the shipping carrier to your address. In Canada and the United States expect 2 to 7 business days, and Internationally 7 to 20 business days.

All packages come with a tracking number so that you can stay in the loop about when your package will arrive. All customers are responsible for putting the correct address in to ensure that there are no issues.

After placing an order, you will get an email confirming your payment. Your order will then go into Processing. At this stage, we will pack up your order and get it ready for shipment.

Once your order has been shipped, your order will move into Completed status. You will recieve an email with your tracking number and confirmation that we have shipped out your order.

If it has been longer than 14 business days and you have not recieved any email with a tracking number, please get in touch with our team.

We ship across the globe! If you have an address, you can order from The Dark Side of the Spoon.

After we ship out your package, you will be provided with a tracking number. Currently we use FedEx and Canada Post as our shipping carriers.

To make things easy, you can use the Universal Parcel Tracking tool that will accept tracking numbers from all carriers.

Our shipping rates vary based on your location. Here are our current shipping options and rates:

United States

  • Flat Rate Shipping is $10 USD
  • Free Shipping is available for orders over $99 USD

Canada

  • Flat Rate Shipping is $10 USD
  • Free Shipping is available for orders over $99 USD

Mexico

  • Flat Rate Shipping is $30 USD
  • Free Shipping is available for orders over $199 USD

Asia

  • Flat Rate Shipping is $35 USD
  • Free Shipping is available for orders over $199 USD

Everywhere Else

  • Flat Rate Shipping is $20 USD
  • Free Shipping is available for orders over $199 USD

We currently use FedEx as our primary shipping carrier, but for some international shipments we use Canada Post. All orders come standard with a tracking number that will be provided to you via email once we have shipped out.

We currently ship out of British Columbia, Canada.

In the future we will be diversifying our inventory across global warehouses which will improve shipping times and costs globally.
